ABOUT
TreePlotter INVENTORY is a web-based GIS tree inventory and management application developed by PlanIT Geo, an urban forestry software and consulting firm founded in May 2012 by Ian Hanou and headquartered in Arvada, Colorado. The company says INVENTORY has been on the market since 2013 and is used by governments, nonprofits, campuses and private tree care companies on five continents.
The software combines field data collection with an office system of record: dashboards, standard and configurable reports, work history, advanced queries, interactive map sharing, mass updates and Google Street View. Add-on modules include an Offline Collector, an electronic ISA Level 2 Advanced Risk Assessment form and a module for quantifying the monetary and ecological benefits of trees, which PlanIT Geo says draws on i-Tree research. The company says INVENTORY supports unlimited users and integrates with Esri, asset management and customer service request systems through web APIs.
TreePlotter Mobile is a browser-based field interface that needs no app-store install and is included with the Complete package. PlanIT Geo's support documentation describes it as beta and notes that it stores entries locally in low-signal areas rather than offering full offline mode. Packages are tiered by organisation type and size. The current product page does not publish prices; Capterra lists a starting price of $3,500 per year for the Complete plan.
PlanIT Geo also runs a UK sales and support team, with plans for small consultancies and councils. On Capterra, TreePlotter INVENTORY is rated 4.5 out of 5 from 111 reviews.
